Yolanda Mazwana is a visual artist based in Johannesburg. She is self taught and currently specialises in painting.
Her style can be described as an amalgamation of abstract expressionism/neo-expressionism /symbolism. She takes her
influence from Gustav Klimt. Her art is inspired by her experiences, imagination and life. The women in the paintings are embracing their bodies but also expressing the challenges that come with being a female with body insecurities. She has taken part in a number a couple of group exhibitions including my most recent at Constitutional Hill for Afro punk .
